The popular avocado dip from Mexico for crisps, quesadillas, tortillas and savoury dishes.

Ingredients

  • 2 ripe avocados
  • ½ lemon (juice)
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 1 small onion
  • 1 red chilli pepper
  • Fresh coriander

Preparation

Mash the two avocados with a fork in a bowl to a fine pulp and mix with the juice of ½ lemon. Chop two cloves of garlic very finely (or squeeze through the garlic press) and add to the puree. Add one onion cut into very small cubes. Cut open the red chilli, remove the stem and seeds, cut into very small pieces and add to the mixture. Wash, dry and finely chop the fresh coriander, then mix with the paste.

Pour the finished guacamole into a 450 ml gourmet jar. Just the right snack for the half-time break as a dip with tortilla chips.
